about eggspace

eggspace is a popular meeting place at the heart of Liverpool's culture. It boasts one of the most panoramic views of the city and is a unique fusion of an independent gallery space and cafe, with a relaxed and bohemian atmosphere.

1984 - 2009: over twenty-five years of supporting artists in a contemporary setting.

since august 2005, the eggspace exhibitions have been organised by headspace, a collective of artists and curators that currently includes: karen henley & jazamin sinclair.

over the years the space has attracted many artists and curators including the current owner peter daniels, jo derbyshire, carolyn sinclair, jackie stevens, katherine doran, jo gough, chris gjertsen, tony knox, gaynor evelyn sweeney and george lund.

eggspace was originally founded as the acorn gallery in 1984, by janine pinion. eggspace was also formerly known as the garden.
