taking part in a show

 

what we need from you if you are exhibiting

please remember that by taking part in an exhibition you will be agreeing to the terms of our disclaimer. please click here to read a copy.

If you are accepted to take part in an exhibition we will need the following things from you:

  1. Bulletfor group exhibitions: one square image for us to use on the flyer that is no smaller than 300 x 300 pixels at 300ppi).
    for solo exhibitions: an image that is no smaller than 1677 x 1300 pixels at 300ppi.
    we preferably need these images 3 weeks before the exhibition begins in order for us to publicise the exhibition effectively & to the design the flyers & get them sent to the printers & back again.

  2. Bulletsmall j-peg images of the each piece of work that you plan to show as soon as possible & by the agreed date. these will be used for us to plan out the exhibition, for this website & on our facebook page.

  3. Bulleta filled out label information form by the agreed date. these can be downloaded as excel or word documents (please click the links). these will be used for the labels, price lists & for us to plan the space out. please be accurate when submitting measurements & INCLUDE THE FRAME SIZE as we use these measurements to plan out the space before hanging the exhibition.

  4. Bulletyour fees by the agreed date.
    cheques should be made payable to ‘Headspace’ & sent to HeadSpace@EggSpace, The Egg, 16-18 Newington, Liverpool, L1 4ED.
    to pay by paypal you can use the email address: headspace@eggspace.org.
    we also accept BACS payments - please contact us for more details if you want to use this method.

  5. Bulletyour artwork. this will usually need to be delivered on the tuesday before the private view of your exhibition at 9:30am. it can sometimes also be delivered on the monday morning. details will be confirmed for each individual exhibition. when you bring your artwork in you will need to label your artwork with your name, the title of your artwork & which way up it goes. your work does not need to be framed but we recommend if it is on paper that it is at least mounted & then we will hang it using bulldog clips. we do not accept work in clip frames as they cannot be secured to the walls properly. also all pieces on canvas or in frames must have mirror plates attached to secure the work to the walls (preferably painted white).

group exhibitions

to take part in a group show, organised by us, with 7 other artists the fee is £50.00 (per artist) and you can exhibit between 4-12 pieces of work depending on the size of your work.

solo exhibitions

to book the whole space out for a solo exhibition or for a group that you are already part of the fee is £400.00 and you or your group can use the space as you wish as long as the work is suited to the venue.

open exhibitions

to take part in an open show the fees are variable depending on the size of your work & the exhibition. more details can be found on our submission application forms that there are links to on our exhibiting page under ‘submission opportunities’ and that are also sent out prior to open exhibitions.
